Grade Estimation
To estimate your grade so far, do the following:

  1. Scale each assignment score so that it is out of 50 points.
  2. Scale each exam score so that it is a score out of 250 points.
  3. Add up all scores and compute the percentage.
  4. The historic cutoffs have been approximately: A 83%; B+ 75%; B 70%; C+ 65%; C 60%; D+ 55;, D 51%. The cutoffs this year may differ slightly from those just given. Yet, you can get a good estimate using these cutoffs.

NOTE: A C- will not be a qualifying grade for critical tracking courses. In order to graduate, students must have an overall GPA and an upper-division GPA of 2.0 or better (C or better). Note: a C- average is equivalent to a GPA of 1.67, and therefore, it does not satisfy this graduation requirement.
