  Reports/systems due electronically and hard copy last day of classes.

• Send me email with which day you would like to present your project next week (M or W).
• Wednesday Oct. 10 is ITSA Day - Information Security related events all day in the Grand Ballroom of the Reitz Union, including a CTF and presentations by various speakers. Plan to attend as much as you can.
• Oct 11 4:00-5:00pm at the Communicore C1-9 room: Talk by Professor Kevin Bowyer, 2012 IEEE Biometric Council Distinguished Lecturer. Topic: current research in Iris Biometrics. Mark your calendar.
• Plan to read/cover about 1 chapter of Smith and 1 chapter of HE per week.
• Extra credit availble for joining hacking team!
• The 11th Biannual CISE Career Development Workshop (CDW) will be on October 1, 2012. The CDW is an event where UF computer science and engineering students interface with companies who are interested in them.

  Please pre-register and remember to come to the event.

Assignments

• Read NIST RBAC model and the NIST RBAC standard at the NIST RBAC site
• Develop 3 project proposal "sketches" - about 1-2 paragraphs each maximum, for your term project. These may be group projects (with larger scope) or individual. DUE DATE: FRI 9/28/12
• Use risk assessment process in Smith book to do initial assessment of either a real entity or an hypothetical entity, such as a law office or doctors offic. Document the method you use and results. DUE 9/19/12
• Weekly blog and response required - see syllabus for description, and go to Sakai discussion to make and read entries.
• Please answer background questionnaire and submit 12/08/22.
