Step 3: Anticipated Schedule
This is the anticipated schedule for our UF CISE Summer Internship Project Course.
Classes will meet for six weeks, Tuesday (Tue) 3-5pm and Wednesday (Wed) 1-2pm (or Wed 1-3pm, as needed).
Each assignment will be specified in detail via a Canvas Assignment page, which you will be able to access after you register as a UF student, and throughout the duration of the course. This website will be useful for those who plan to attend the course at UF but might be delayed, for example, by visa issues.
The above-listed objectives and the evaluated assignments will be achieved stepwise on a six-week schedule, as follows:
Week 1, Mon: ORIENTATION via Zoom so everyone can join in regardless of your visa status. (Details to be announced via email) Week 1, Tue: Select your student group and group project, then formulate your group project's high-level specification (Instructor will help you) Week 1, Wed: Develop a task-by-task Project Plan, turn in to Canvas Week 2, Tue: Develop schedule for achieving project objectives, use GANTT chart for planning purposes, turn in to Canvas Week 2 (all): Design software to achieve project objectives, as stated in the Project Plan, summarize in Presentation #1 (Instructor will work with you to develop your Presentation #1 slides and skills) Week 3, Tue: Give Presentation #1 in-class -and- as a video presentation turned in to Canvas Weeks 3, 4, & 5: Code, test, and analyze performance of software modules and system using Agile Development methodologies Classroom Instruction will emphasize Project Management, Group Communication, Presentation and Technical Report Writing Skills Week 5, Wed: Summarize project design, development, and results in a Draft Final Report turned in to Canvas Week 6, Tue: Present final results in-class -and- as a video presentation turned in to Canvas Week 6, Wed: Correct and turn in to Canvas your Draft Final Report as your group's completed Final Report Week 6, Thurs: Receive Certificates from Dr. SahniEach assignment will be specified in detail via a Canvas Assignment page, which you will be able to access throughout the duration of the course.
