Lecture of 7 September 1994
These lectures discussed sections 8.4.1 through 8.4.3 in the text.
The topics are:
- Dilation and Erosion. We discussed the text's definition and the
definition in terms of Minkowski addition and subtraction provided in
exercises 8.19 and 8.20. Remeber that the reflection of a set
of points is defined in n dimensions to be reflection about
each of the axes in any arbitrary sequence, it is not rotation!
- Opening and Closing.
- Hit-or-Miss Transform.
- Boundary extraction.
