Using List Selections, the File Menu, and Control Buttons

What is a List Selection?

There are several lists arranged in a column on the left side of Kare'ls Programming Environment window, namely, Instructions, Primitives, and Test Functions. If you click on an element of one of these lists, some associated text will be placed in the editor window.

What is the File Menu?

If you point the mouse at the file menu button (above the editor window) then press the left button down, a menu of op[tions will pop up. Keeping the mouse button down, you can move the pointer to one of the menu options (such as Save Program, Load Program, etc.). If you release the mouse button on one of these options, a window associated with your menu choice will pop-up to help you carry out the action you've specified.

What are the control buttons?

The control buttons are representations of real buttons on Karel the Robot. They are represented on your computer screen by little rectangular boxes. Each such box is labeled by a word telling what event the button will activate if it is clicked.
