Hi, I'm Caleb!
Right now I'm a fourth-year Computer Science major at the University of Florida.
Lately I've been working under Dr. Daisy Wang on building a medical dialogue system, and I will be applying to grad school this winter. My research interests lie primarily at the intersection of machine intelligence and human interaction, with particular interests in Bayesian Machine Learning and Natural Language Understanding. While I am still working on creating opportunities to study those fields, I have also worked with Dr. Anand Rangaragan and Pan He on Visual Object Tracking and Dr. Eakta Jain on Virtual Reality Interfaces.
During my freshman and sophomore years, I competed on UF's programming team, but I haven't been actively involved since then. In my freetime, I enjoy playing the piano and practicing Chinese (I was one of the founders of the UF Chinese Culture Club, and I have applied to participate in the Schwarzman Scholar's program at Tsinghua University in Bejing).
A somewhat outdated copy of my resume is available in PDF format right here. If you have any questions about anything on it, feel free to contact me using the information below.
Thanks for taking a look!
