Tim Davis, a professor in CISE, was elected as a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) on March 29. Tim is one of only two SIAM Fellows in the state of Florida. The SIAM Fellows program was initiated in 2009 with 194 members, and about 34 have been elected each year since then.
A recent SIAM news release states, “These distinguished members were nominated for their exemplary research as well as outstanding service to the community. Through their contributions, SIAM Fellows help advance the fields of applied mathematics and computational science.”
