This presentation is to be given for fifteen (15) minutes, with viewgraphs. You may use either Microsoft PowerPoint (electronic format) for use with the video projector, or a LATEX template such as the seminar.sty style sheet.
The required slides are listed as follows:
Problem: What probles were solved?
Solution: What solutions did you provide?
You should include high-level architecture diagrams or flowcharts of your hardware or software. Be prepared to explain and answer questions about the structure and function of each module in the flowchart.
You should also
include several screen shots of your demo, and you can link a video
(preferably, a Windows .avi
file) to your viewgraphs.
You will have to be able to play the video on a CISE network machine,
so check with the sysadmins to find out what formats are compatible
with CISE Windows machines.
You should not include any software code (except a short example to illustrate a point), header files, or datafiles (except short example to illustrate the format). Storyboards are acceptable, however.
Do not
expect the course supervisor to load your actual software onto the computer,
as CISE machines may not support file permissions required to run your software. That is why an .avi
file or other compatible format is requested.
