CISE Financial Aid Opportunities
Academic Achievement Award
The Achievement Award is offered to new Computer Engineering majors through the College of Engineering. Out-of-state and international students are eligible for this award which will pay for nearly half of your tuition costs at UF. New students with a GRE score of 1200 or higher will automatically be considered for the Achievement Award, there is no separate application.
The Achievement Award is renewed on a year-by-year basis. There is no guarantee that it will be offered to new students every semester.
Please note, the Achievement Award is administered only by the College of Engineering. The Computer Engineering degree (College of Engineering) is IDENTICAL to the Computer Science (College of Liberal Arts & Sciences) degree. Please use the link for more information about the colleges.

Fellowships
The department offers 8-10 fellowships each year for new PhD students. This 4-year fellowship offers an approximately $20000 annual stipend plus tuition waiver and other benefits.
Teaching Assistantships
We offer 15-20 Teaching Assistantships each year for new PhD students. The assistantship offers students an approximately $18000 stipend per year plus tuition waiver and other benefits.
Scholarship for Minority PhD students
The College of Engineering establishes several 4-year scholarships for minority PhD students. You may apply through our department.
Harris Supplemental Scholarships
The Harris Co. donates a scholarship fund for the CISE department to offer 2-4 new PhD students each year a one-time $3000-$5000 scholarship to supplement fellowships/assistantships.
You need NOT apply for the above financial aids separately. You will be evaluated automatically based on your application package.
